Tonga Development Bank (TDB) is a state-owned development finance institution that promotes Tonga's economic and social advancement through a variety of banking services. As the only 100% government-owned bank in Tonga, TDB operates with both development and commercial banking functions under the Tonga Development Bank Act 2014. The bank specializes in providing financial services to disadvantaged borrowers, micro and small enterprises, and productive sectors including agriculture, fishing, industry, and women's development groups.
