AU Small Finance Bank

AU Small Finance Bank is a scheduled commercial small finance bank headquartered in India. Originally founded as a vehicle finance company in 1996, it transformed into a small finance bank in 2017 and is now transitioning to become a universal bank. The bank specializes in serving underserved and underbanked segments of Indian society, including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), low and middle-income individuals, and small businesses.

As of September 2025, AU Small Finance Bank operates over 2,600 physical touchpoints across 21 states and 4 union territories, serving approximately 1.2 crore (12 million) customers with a workforce of more than 58,000 employees. The bank is listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), making it India's largest small finance bank by market share, commanding approximately 40% of the SFB sector.
