China Merchants Bank (CMB) is a major joint-stock commercial bank headquartered in Shenzhen, China. Founded in 1987, it is China's first joint-stock commercial bank wholly owned by corporate legal entities. CMB is designated as a Domestic Systemically Important Bank and ranks among the top commercial banks in China by assets, profitability, and market capitalization.
