CVECA Albarika

CVECA Albarika (Caisse Villageoise d'Épargne et de Crédit Autogérée Albarika) is a village-level savings and credit cooperative operating in Benin. It is a member of the FECECAM network (Faîtière des Caisses d'Épargne et de Crédit Agricole Mutuel du Bénin), the largest microfinance network in Benin. CVECAs represent a grassroots approach to financial inclusion, providing self-managed savings and credit services to rural communities.

As a CVECA, Albarika operates on cooperative principles where members are closely involved in decision-making, determining savings and credit policies, and selecting management committees. The institution serves local populations who typically lack access to conventional banking services.
