Mutahid Development Finance Institution is a regulated microfinance institution (MFI) in Afghanistan dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs and driving economic growth through Shariah-compliant financial products. As one of the leading microfinance institutions in the country, Mutahid serves micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with a particular focus on the economically challenged population.

The institution operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Microfinance Investment Support Facility for Afghanistan (MISFA), which was established in 2003 to coordinate donor efforts and build Afghanistan's microfinance sector. Mutahid has approximately 17 branches across 10 provinces, serving over 11,000 active clients with a gross portfolio exceeding AFN 464 million.
