Awra Amba Microf­inance

Awra Amba Microfinance is a microfinance institution based in Ethiopia, established by the unique Awra Amba community. Located in the Fogera woreda of the South Gondar Zone in the Amhara Region, this institution serves as a financial services provider rooted in the egalitarian principles of the Awra Amba community. The microfinance institution operates under the regulatory framework of the National Bank of Ethiopia and is licensed in accordance with Ethiopian Microfinance Business Proclamation No. 626/2009.

The institution is affiliated with the Association of Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions (AEMFI), the national network body for the microfinance sector in Ethiopia.
