About Hachijuni Bank in Thailand
Hachijuni Bank is a major Japanese regional bank headquartered in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. The name "Hachijuni" means "82" in Japanese, reflecting the bank's origin as the sum of the 19th National Bank (established 1877) and the 63rd National Bank (established 1888), which merged in 1931.
With total assets exceeding ¥10 trillion, Hachijuni Bank is one of the largest regional banks in Japan. Effective January 1, 2026, the bank completed a merger with its wholly-owned subsidiary Nagano Bank to form Hachijuni Nagano Bank, Ltd.
