Equity Bank Uganda

Equity Bank Uganda is a commercial bank operating in Uganda and is licensed by the Bank of Uganda, the country's central bank and national banking regulator. It is a subsidiary of Equity Group Holdings Limited, a major financial services conglomerate headquartered in Kenya with operations across six countries in the African Great Lakes Region.

As of December 2023, Equity Bank Uganda's total assets were valued at approximately UGX 3.748 trillion (US$1.014 billion), making it one of the largest commercial banks in Uganda. The bank serves over 2 million customers, ranging from individual consumers to small and medium enterprises, with a focus on financial inclusion and accessible banking services.
