About Artesa in the Czech Republic
Artesa is a Czech savings cooperative (spořitelní družstvo) that provides savings and lending services to individuals, entrepreneurs, and companies. Founded in 1999, it operates as a licensed credit institution under the supervision of the Czech National Bank. Artesa focuses on offering competitive savings products, loans, and payment services while maintaining the traditional values of cooperative banking.
The cooperative is majority owned by Artesa Capital, a.s., with Czech entrepreneur Bohumil Koutník as the main shareholder. Since 2019, the Roman Catholic Diocese of České Budějovice has held a 9.5% stake in the institution.
