Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ)

Commercial Bank of Qatar (CBQ) is Qatar's first private sector bank and one of the leading financial institutions in the country. Established in 1974, the bank operates as a publicly listed universal bank offering comprehensive conventional and Islamic banking services. CBQ serves retail customers, small and medium enterprises, large corporations, and government entities across Qatar.

With total assets of QAR 169.1 billion (approximately $44.2 billion USD) as of 2024, CBQ maintains a strong market presence with 28 full-service branches and over 300 ATMs throughout Qatar. The bank is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange and was the first Qatari bank to list on the London Stock Exchange in 2008.
