Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank

Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) is a state-owned specialized agricultural bank in Bangladesh with a regional focus. The bank serves the agricultural development needs of the Rajshahi and Rangpur administrative divisions in northwestern Bangladesh, an area providing livelihood to approximately 35 million people.

RAKUB operates 383 branches across these two divisions, with 333 branches in rural areas and 50 in urban centers. It is the only specialized nationalized bank in Bangladesh with its head office located outside the capital city of Dhaka.

The Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions are known as the "granary of the country" due to their surplus food grain production, making RAKUB a critical financial institution for agricultural development in this region.
