Hsinchu International Bank was a regional small and medium enterprise (SME) bank in Taiwan that operated primarily in the wealthy northern regions of Taipei, Taoyuan, and Hsinchu. The bank was the seventh-largest private sector bank in Taiwan by loans and deposits at the time of its acquisition, serving over 2.5 million customer accounts through 83 branches nationwide.
Hsinchu International Bank specialized in serving individual customers and small to medium-sized businesses with a particular focus on its regional market. The bank held approximately 1% of Taiwan's banking market share and managed total assets of approximately USD 13 billion as of mid-2006.
