Banca Credifarma is an Italian specialized bank focused exclusively on providing financial services to pharmacies and the healthcare retail sector. Headquartered in Rome, the bank offers tailored banking products including working capital financing, receivables factoring (particularly for National Health Service reimbursements), equipment and refurbishment loans, and pharmacy acquisition financing. Banca Credifarma was created on April 11, 2022, through the merger of two specialized pharmacy finance institutions, Credifarma and Farbanca, both previously part of the Banca Ifis Group. The bank is majority-owned by Banca Ifis (approximately 70%) with Federfarma (the Italian Federation of Pharmacy Owners) holding a minority stake, making it the primary financial reference point for Italian pharmacies.
