Azizi Bank

Azizi Bank is one of the largest commercial banks in Afghanistan, operating as a private sector financial institution. Founded by prominent Afghan businessman Mirwais Azizi of the Azizi Hotak Group, the bank has established itself as a leading player in Afghanistan's banking sector. With a pan-Afghanistan presence across 32 provinces, Azizi Bank serves retail, corporate, and institutional clients through its extensive network of approximately 60 branches and over 100 ATMs.

The bank has grown from its initial paid-up capital of USD 7.5 million in 2006 to approximately USD 80 million, making it a significant contributor to Afghanistan's financial infrastructure. Azizi Bank also owns the Islamic Bank of Afghanistan (formerly Bakhtar Bank), a 100% subsidiary that operates as the country's first full-fledged Islamic bank with an additional 46 branches and 33 ATMs.
