Banco Contactar

Banco Contactar is a Colombian microfinance bank specializing in serving microentrepreneurs and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both urban and rural areas. Authorized by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia in December 2023 through Resolution 2251, the bank officially began operations in March 2024. With over 97 branches across 18 departments and more than 1,500 employees, Banco Contactar is Colombia's largest private rural microfinance bank, serving approximately 140,000 clients—72 percent of whom reside in rural communities.

The bank is the evolution of Corporación de Crédito Contactar, its majority shareholder, which brings 32 years of microfinance expertise to the institution.
