Sparkasse Leipzig is one of the largest savings banks in eastern Germany and a major financial institution serving the Leipzig region of Saxony. Officially named "Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig" (City and Regional Savings Bank of Leipzig), it operates as a public-law institution owned by the Sparkassenzweckverband (special purpose association) for the city of Leipzig and Nordsachsen district.

With total assets exceeding 8.9 billion euros and approximately 1,663 employees operating across 135 branches, Sparkasse Leipzig ranks 18th among German savings banks by balance sheet size. The bank is the third-largest savings bank in the new federal states (former East Germany), after Ostsächsische Sparkasse Dresden and Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse.
