Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB)

Mauritius Commercial Bank (MCB) is the longest-standing and largest banking institution in Mauritius. As a commercial bank licensed by the Bank of Mauritius, MCB Ltd is a subsidiary and the mainstay of MCB Group Ltd, offering comprehensive banking and financial services to individuals, corporates, and institutions.

MCB is the oldest commercial company in Mauritius and the oldest banking institution south of the Sahara. It is one of the oldest banks in the Commonwealth to have preserved its original name and operated in the same business area since incorporation. According to 2025 figures, MCB holds approximately 39% market share of domestic credit and around 50% market share of local currency deposits in Mauritius.
