Co-operative Bank of Kenya is a large commercial bank in Kenya, one of the five largest financial institutions in the country and a major player in the East African Community. The bank specializes in serving individuals, small businesses, large corporations, and particularly the cooperative movement in Kenya. With over 7.5 million customer accounts, more than 140 branches, and assets exceeding KES 743 billion (approximately USD 5.8 billion), it represents one of Kenya's fastest-growing and most successful financial institutions.

The bank maintains a unique ownership structure with 65% of shares held by CoopHoldings Cooperative Society Limited, which represents Kenya's cooperative movement of over 10 million members, while 35% is publicly traded on the Nairobi Securities Exchange under the symbol COOP.
