Banco Digital de los Trabaj­adores (BDT)

Banco Digital de los Trabajadores (BDT) is Venezuela's first digital bank and a universal bank within the National Public Banking System. Headquartered in Caracas, BDT is a state-owned financial institution that serves the working class and broader Venezuelan population. The bank holds approximately 20% of all bank deposits in Venezuela, making it one of the country's largest financial institutions.

BDT was created through the 2024 rebranding of Banco Bicentenario, which itself was formed in 2009 from the merger of several banks. The transformation into BDT represents a strategic shift toward digital banking innovation and financial inclusion for Venezuelan workers.
