About Banco Apoyo Integral in El Salvador
Banco Apoyo Integral is a specialized microfinance bank in El Salvador focused on serving micro and small enterprises (MYPEs). The institution evolved from the Fundación Salvadoreña de Apoyo Integral (FUSAI), a credit project supported by the United Nations that began in 1990.
After operating for over two decades as a regulated savings and loan association (Sociedad de Ahorro y Crédito), it officially transformed into a full-service bank in August 2024. As of mid-2025, Banco Apoyo Integral serves approximately 25,500 credit clients and 41,400 depositors, with a loan portfolio exceeding $193 million.
