ARB Apex Bank

ARB Apex Bank is a specialized wholesale bank operating in Ghana that functions as a "mini-central bank" for the country's Rural and Community Banks (RCBs). The acronym ARB stands for the Association of Rural Banks. With over GH₵ 7 billion in total assets, ARB Apex Bank supports approximately 147 rural and community banks across Ghana, representing more than half of the banking sector in the country.

The bank is owned by the Rural and Community Banks themselves, with each RCB holding GH₵ 2,000 worth of shares, while the Government of Ghana holds the remaining shares. This ownership structure ensures accountability to the rural banking sector it serves.
