About Bank of Yokohama in Thailand
Bank of Yokohama is Japan's largest regional bank with a representative office in Thailand. Headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, the bank primarily serves customers in Kanagawa Prefecture and southwestern Tokyo. The bank is affectionately called "Hamagin" (浜銀) by locals.
Bank of Yokohama operates 632 domestic offices and five overseas offices including Shanghai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and New York. Since 2016, the bank has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Concordia Financial Group, Japan's largest regional bank holding company formed through a merger with Higashi-Nippon Bank.
The bank maintains a Bangkok Representative Office to support Japanese corporate clients expanding their operations in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
