Caja Popular Tamazula is a savings and credit cooperative (Sociedad Cooperativa de Ahorro y Préstamo, or SOCAP) operating in Mexico. With over 47 years of service, this member-owned financial institution focuses on contributing to the economic development of its members through credit, savings, investments, and financial education. The cooperative operates 25 service points throughout the state of Jalisco and one location in Cuauhtémoc, Colima.
Caja Popular Tamazula is authorized by the Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores (CNBV), Mexico's banking and securities regulatory authority, and is supervised by various regulatory entities including SAT and CONDUSEF. As an authorized SOCAP, members benefit from deposit insurance of up to 25,000 UDIS (approximately 208,000 pesos) per member.
