Coopérative Wesleyenne d'Épargne et de Crédit (COWEC)

Coopérative Wesleyenne d'Épargne et de Crédit (COWEC) is a microfinance institution in Benin that operates as a Système Financier Décentralisé (Decentralized Financial System). The institution was created by members of the Protestant Methodist Church of Benin (Église Protestante Méthodiste du Bénin) but is open to all individuals regardless of religious affiliation.

COWEC specializes in providing financial inclusion services to underserved populations, including micro-entrepreneurs, low-income individuals, and people excluded from traditional banking systems. With over 21 years of experience, the cooperative has grown to operate 12 branches across Benin.
