About Bangko Kabayan in the Philippines
Bangko Kabayan is a private development bank in the Philippines that primarily serves the mass market segment and provides financial services to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Originally established as Ibaan Rural Bank in 1957, the institution adopted the name "Bangko Kabayan" in 1997 and was upgraded to a private development bank in 2016. The bank is now majority-owned by UnionBank of the Philippines through its subsidiary, City Savings Bank.
