About Heritage Bank in Nigeria

Heritage Bank was a commercial bank in Nigeria that operated with a national banking license issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). The bank provided retail banking, corporate banking, investment banking, online banking, and asset management services to customers across Nigeria.

At its peak, Heritage Bank operated 127 branches and 202 automated banking centers with over 350 ATMs across all states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory. As of December 2015, the bank's total assets were valued at approximately $1.7 billion (NGN 483.4 billion), with shareholders' equity of at least $88 million (NGN 25 billion).

Heritage Bank positioned itself as a catalyst for economic growth, with a mission to create, preserve, and transfer wealth across generations. The bank particularly focused on serving small and medium enterprises (SMEs), project financing, and financial inclusion initiatives.
