Lighthouse Credit Union is Canada's first credit union specifically established to serve the Jewish community, with a focus on the Greater Toronto Area. Founded in 2022, Lighthouse Credit Union is the first new credit union to be approved in Ontario in more than a decade. The credit union was created to provide financial services that understand the unique needs of the Toronto Jewish community while remaining open to all members of the broader community.
With $15 million in initial Tier 1 capital, Lighthouse Credit Union offers residential mortgages, everyday banking services, and investment products designed to make homeownership in Jewish neighborhoods more accessible and affordable.
