The organization operates as a cooperative of cooperatives, uniting 219 independent Raiffeisen banks throughout the country. With 896 branch offices, Raiffeisen maintains the densest branch network of any Swiss bank. Following UBS's acquisition of Credit Suisse, Raiffeisen has become the second-largest banking group in Switzerland with client assets under management of 246.6 billion Swiss francs. The institution serves approximately 3.65 million clients, of whom 1.9 million are cooperative members and co-owners of their regional banks.
