About Lao China Bank in Laos
Lao China Bank (LCNB) is a joint-state commercial bank operating in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. It was established as a strategic partnership between Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL), the state-owned commercial bank of Laos, and Futian Bank of China's Yunnan Province. As the first bank authorized by the Bank of the Lao PDR to operate as a Lao-Chinese joint venture, LCNB specializes in providing financial services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and facilitating economic cooperation between Laos and China under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The bank operates with a registered capital of 300 billion Lao kip, with Futian Bank holding 51% ownership and BCEL holding 49%.
