Headquartered in Damascus, the bank accounts for the highest assets share in the banking sector, representing approximately 37% of all bank assets and accounting for more than 70% of deposit and lending activities in the Syrian market as of 2017. The bank's share of the banking sector's balance sheet is approximately 80%, making it the dominant financial institution in Syria.
