About Housing Finance Bank in Uganda
Housing Finance Bank is a commercial bank in Uganda licensed and regulated by the Bank of Uganda. Founded originally as a housing finance company, it transitioned into a full-service retail bank with a primary focus on mortgage banking.
As of December 2023, the bank held total assets of approximately USh 2.14 trillion (approximately US$569.64 million) and maintains the largest market share in Uganda's mortgage sector, controlling approximately 60 percent of all mortgage accounts in the country. The bank serves both retail and corporate clients across Uganda through an extensive branch network.
