Shoko Chukin Bank

Shoko Chukin Bank is a specialized Japanese governmental financial institution dedicated exclusively to serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their cooperative organizations. Headquartered in Tokyo, the bank was established to provide long-term, unsecured financing that ordinary commercial banks typically do not offer to SMEs.

The bank operates 100 domestic offices throughout Japan and four overseas offices including New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Bangkok. With capital of JPY 218.6 billion (of which JPY 101.6 billion is subscribed by the Japanese government), Shoko Chukin Bank plays a unique and vital role in Japan's financial system as a lifeline for small and medium-sized businesses.

The Bangkok Representative Office, established in September 2012, supports Japanese SMEs expanding their operations into Thailand and Southeast Asia.
