Alterna Bank is a Canadian direct bank and a wholly owned subsidiary of Alterna Savings, an Ontario-based credit union. Operating primarily through digital channels, the bank specializes in offering chequing accounts, high-interest savings accounts, and mortgages to customers across Canada.

With approximately C$10 billion in assets under management through its parent organization, Alterna Bank serves customers primarily via its website, mobile apps, and telephone services. Unlike most other direct banks, some accounts can also be accessed through select branch locations.
