About FINCA Uganda in Uganda

FINCA Uganda is a microfinance deposit-taking institution (MDI) operating in Uganda. Licensed and regulated by the Bank of Uganda as a Tier III Financial Institution, FINCA Uganda specializes in providing financial services to low-income entrepreneurs, particularly women microentrepreneurs, with the aim of alleviating poverty through lasting solutions.

The institution is a subsidiary of FINCA Microfinance Coöperatief U.A., a Dutch holding company owned by FINCA Microfinance Holding Company LLC (FMH), whose majority shareholder is FINCA International, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based not-for-profit organization working to end poverty worldwide. As of 2024, FINCA Uganda serves approximately 140,000 customers and has served over 1 million customers since its inception.
