Halk Bankası (Halkbank)

Halk Bankası, officially known as Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. and commonly referred to as Halkbank (literally "People's Bank"), is a major Turkish universal bank headquartered in Istanbul. Established in 1933 as a state-owned institution, Halkbank is now a publicly traded company on the Borsa Istanbul, though the majority stakeholder remains the Turkish government through the Turkey Wealth Fund. The bank specializes in serving tradespeople, artisans, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), while also providing comprehensive retail, commercial, and corporate banking services.
