About Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Aopcoop in Peru

Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Aopcoop (COOPAC Aopcoop) is a closed credit union in Peru that exclusively serves members of the Okinawan-Peruvian community and the Asociación Okinawense del Perú. As a Level 2 cooperative, it operates under the supervision of the Superintendencia de Banca, Seguros y AFP (SBS) through the Superintendencia Adjunta de Cooperativas.

The cooperative is registered under number 0041-2019-REG.COOPAC-SBS and serves the financial needs of descendants of Okinawan immigrants who arrived in Peru beginning in 1906. Unlike open cooperatives, Aopcoop does not accept deposits from the general public and provides services exclusively to its members.
