About Bank Maskan in Iran

Bank Maskan (Persian: بانک مسکن, meaning "Housing Bank") is a specialized government-owned bank in Iran focused on housing finance and construction sector financing. Established in 1979 following the Iranian Revolution, Bank Maskan is the country's primary institution for residential mortgages and housing development. In 2008, the Central Bank of Iran granted Bank Maskan exclusive rights to provide residential mortgages, banning all other banks and financial institutions from this sector.

The bank is listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange and operates as a government-owned entity under Iranian banking regulations. Bank Maskan plays a critical role in Iran's housing policy and urban development initiatives.
