Jammu & Kashmir Bank is a scheduled commercial bank headquartered in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Established in 1938, it is one of India's oldest private sector banks and holds a dominant position in the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. As of December 2025, the bank operates over 1,000 branches, 1,436 ATMs, 169 cash recycling machines, and 99 Easy Banking Units (EBUs) across 18 states and 4 union territories.
The bank serves approximately 21 million accounts with a customer base of 12.5 million. The Government of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh holds majority ownership at 59.40%, while the bank is listed on both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). J&K Bank holds a commanding 61.24% market share in banking business within the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
