The bank was created on April 1, 2024, through the merger of Kreissparkasse Halle (Westf.) and Kreissparkasse Wiedenbrück. Prior to the merger, the combined institutions managed total assets of approximately 5.062 billion EUR (1.57 billion EUR from Halle and 3.492 billion EUR from Wiedenbrück) with customer deposits totaling 4.12 billion EUR. The merged entity operates 18 branches and employs approximately 506 people.
