About Sberbank in the Ukraine
Sberbank was a Ukrainian subsidiary of Russia's largest state-owned bank, Sberbank of Russia (now known as Sber). Operating in Ukraine under the name INTERNATIONAL RESERVE BANK JSC, it was a universal commercial bank offering retail, corporate, and investment banking services. The bank was 100% owned by Sberbank of Russia, which made it subject to Ukrainian sanctions and regulatory actions related to Russia's geopolitical activities. Sberbank's operations in Ukraine ceased in February 2022 following the revocation of its banking license by the National Bank of Ukraine.
