CSR (officially Cassa di Sovvenzioni e Risparmio fra il Personale della Banca d'Italia - Società Cooperativa per Azioni) is a unique Italian cooperative bank based in Rome. Founded in 1902, it is exclusively dedicated to serving employees and retirees of Banca d'Italia (Italy's central bank) and their immediate family members.
With total assets approaching €6 billion, CSR has evolved from a mutual aid society into one of Italy's most important cooperative banks not subject to the 2016 banking reform. The bank operates 39 offices, one at each Banca d'Italia branch, employing 52 people.
