PrivatBank

PrivatBank is the largest bank in Ukraine by assets, serving as a systemically important financial institution in the country. As a state-owned universal bank since its nationalization in 2016, PrivatBank provides comprehensive banking services to approximately 19 million active customers as of 2024. The bank operates the largest network of ATMs and payment terminals in Ukraine, with over 7,000 ATMs, 11,000 payment terminals, and more than 250,000 POS terminals.

PrivatBank is recognized as the leading issuer and acquirer of electronic payment means in Ukraine. The bank handles approximately 60% of all transactions in the country and accounts for half of all payment cards issued to Ukrainian consumers. According to The Banker magazine, PrivatBank ranked 16th among the largest banks in Central and Eastern Europe in 2016.
