Over the decades, it expanded its portfolio to include specialized financial products for both individual and commercial customers.

Banco Volkswagen distinguishes itself as the only bank among automotive manufacturer-affiliated institutions in Brazil with a diversified funding structure, accessing investors across different profiles beyond traditional banking channels. The bank operates as a market leader in captive financing, financing more than 80 percent of light-duty vehicles and over 70 percent of heavy vehicles for Volkswagen Group brands. Its strategic integration with LM Soluções de Mobilidade (acquired in 2022) transformed the bank into one of Brazil's top three fleet and leasing management providers, with operational control of approximately 70,000 vehicles. However, the institution has evolved beyond traditional captive banking to operate as a universal financial services provider, offering banking, leasing, insurance, and mobility solutions to both corporate and retail customers. This evolution reflects Brazilian regulatory frameworks that permit multi-service banking operations and the bank's strategic diversification into non-captive financing segments.
