Cooperativa Barrio­jarense

Cooperativa Barriojarense is a multi-purpose cooperative offering savings, credit, consumption, production, and services to its members in Paraguay. As a financial cooperative, it operates under the supervision of the Instituto Nacional de Cooperativismo (INCOOP) and provides a range of financial services primarily focused on serving local communities.

The cooperative is part of Paraguay's robust cooperative movement, which emerged in the mid-20th century and has become a cornerstone of the country's financial system, particularly after the banking crisis of the 1990s when many Paraguayans shifted their trust from commercial banks to cooperatives.
