Lecale Credit Union

Lecale Credit Union is a community-based financial co-operative serving the Lecale peninsula area in County Down, Northern Ireland. As a not-for-profit, member-owned institution, it provides essential savings and loan facilities to residents of the historic Lecale region, which encompasses communities around Downpatrick and surrounding areas including Strangford, Ardglass, Killough, and nearby towns.

The credit union operates under the mutual self-help philosophy that has defined Northern Ireland's credit union movement since the 1960s. Members are simultaneously owners and customers, with each member having an equal say in how the organisation is run, regardless of the size of their shareholding.
