About Sicoob Credimepi in Brazil

Sicoob Credimepi is a credit cooperative (cooperativa de crédito) operating in Brazil as part of the larger Sicoob cooperative system. Founded to serve the textile and clothing industry in the Médio Piracicaba region of Minas Gerais, it has evolved into a free admission cooperative serving individuals and businesses across multiple sectors.

The cooperative operates in over 100 municipalities across two Brazilian states: Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Norte. With more than 68,000 members, Sicoob Credimepi is the largest cooperative financial institution in eastern Minas Gerais and Rio Grande do Norte.

In 2024, the cooperative achieved record growth of approximately 45%, adding nearly 20,000 new members and generating surplus results exceeding R$81 million.
