Spirit of Alaska Credit Union

Spirit of Alaska Credit Union is a federally insured, member-owned financial cooperative serving Interior Alaska. As the largest locally owned credit union headquartered in Fairbanks, it serves approximately 9,400 members with total assets of around $193 million as of 2025. The credit union specializes in serving residents, workers, and educational communities in the Fairbanks North Star Borough and areas north of the Alaska Range.

Originally founded to serve teachers, Spirit of Alaska has evolved into a full-service community credit union offering personal and business banking products with a strong emphasis on local decision-making and community involvement.
