Banco Votorantim, now operating as Banco BV, is a major Brazilian financial institution and the seventh-largest bank in Brazil. Founded in 1988, the bank specializes in vehicle financing, wholesale banking, wealth management, and consumer finance.
The bank is jointly owned by Grupo Votorantim, one of Latin America's largest industrial conglomerates, and Banco do Brasil, Brazil's largest financial institution. Banco do Brasil acquired a 49.99% voting stake and 50% overall share in 2009.
