Abacus Bank, formally known as Abacus Federal Savings Bank (國寶銀行), is a federally chartered financial institution founded to serve the Chinese-American community in New York City. With approximately $329 million in assets and five branches across New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, the bank provides specialized banking services tailored to immigrant communities and local residents. Abacus Bank gained national prominence as the only U.S. bank prosecuted in relation to the 2008 financial crisis, and was fully acquitted of all charges in 2015.
