U-IMCEC Casamance is one of four base credit unions (caisses de base) that form part of the Union des Institutions Mutualistes Communautaires d'Epargne et de Crédit (U-IMCEC) network in Senegal. As a community-based mutual savings and credit institution, it serves the Casamance region of southern Senegal. U-IMCEC Casamance focuses on providing accessible financial services to rural and peri-urban populations, with particular emphasis on women and young micro-entrepreneurs who are traditionally excluded from formal banking.
